Helen Pynor and Peta Clancy are showing video documentation of their recent heart perfusion performances at ISEA2013 – 19th International Symposium of Electronic Art.  

The work forms part of the ‘Synapse' exhibition showcasing outcomes of a selection of the Synapse Art-Science residencies commissioned by the Australian Network for Art and Technology over the last 10 years.

Uri Auerbach is an Australian multimedia artist, working in photography, installation, video and sculpture.  Clean Room is a conceptual installation work, exploring the way people use gas to attract, repel or destroy others. Clean Room consists of an empty, white painted brick room and an array of four automatic air fresheners (aerosol fragrance dispensers), which participants can enter and leave through a single door.  The installation deliberately creates a space for the evocation of feelings and emotions through the olfactory senses, in turn provoking the imagination via those emotions.

Helen Pynor will be exhibiting as one of 5 finalists in the Fauvette Loureiro Artists Travelling Scholarship at Sydney College of the Arts.  Fauvette Loureiro Artists Travelling Scholarship worth $28,000, enables international professional development.

For the Fauvette Loureiro exhibition Pynor will be showing a new version of her collaborative work with Peta Clancy, 'The Body is a Big Place' which explores organ transplantation.

The international travelling exhibition 'transit' brings together the work of four Australian interdisciplinary artists; Stephen Copland, Meredith Brice, Colin G. Reaney and Karee S. Dahl; who have recently lived and worked in the United Arab Emirate of Sharjah.  The exhibition displays the four artists’ immersion and exploration of the concept of home, identity and relationship to place.
